Prisjakt and PriceRunner product feeds

Prisjakt and PriceRunner are the two big price comparison sites in the Nordics, and both list shops from a product feed on a URL. PriceRunner publishes a full feed specification; Prisjakt documents how to add a feed in its Business Centre but keeps the field specification behind the merchant login. Here is what each one states publicly, side by side, and how to build both feeds from the same catalog.

We connect your store, build the feed and keep it in sync. Updated 2026-10-27.

At a glance

  • PriceRunner takes a text file, CSV, XML or JSON on an HTTPS or FTP URL (no Excel), with a minimum of 14 fields including SKU, name, price with VAT, shipping cost, stock status, delivery time, EAN and MPN.
  • Prisjakt: log in to Business Centre, go to Data management, choose Add feed and pick the format there. The field specification is not published outside the merchant login.
  • PriceRunner wants prices including VAT with the currency stated; Prisjakt requires local currency including VAT, a verifiable company and consumer information in Swedish or English on prisjakt.nu.
  • We set up both feeds from Textfinity's Prisjakt and PriceRunner channel templates; each is published as CSV or TSV on a stable URL, rebuilt on your sync schedule.

PriceRunner product feed fields that need care

  • Name: state the variant or model clearly, unique per product, important details first; PriceRunner notes users often see only the first 70 characters. Good: "Apple iPhone 12, 256GB, grey"; poor: "iPhone 12". No discount or stock text in the name.
  • Stock status: accepted values include in stock / out of stock, Yes / No, a numeric count, preorder and backorder. "Few" or "N/A" are not accepted. Products that cannot be bought or ordered at all should not be in the feed.
  • Delivery time: days from order, matching the site, such as "5 working days", never "Varies".
  • Category: full breadcrumb with " > " and spaces, split by Women, Men and Children for gendered products.
  • Description: relevant specifications, at most 30 words.
  • Images: static URLs, preferably 700 to 2,000 px, no watermarks, placeholders or CMYK.
  • Variants: one row per size or color, each with its own SKU and EAN.

Prisjakt product feed: what is and is not public

Prisjakt's public help pages cover two things. Submitting a feed: log in to Business Centre, open Data management, select Add feed and choose the format, then keep the feed updated regularly. Listing requirements on prisjakt.nu: a verifiable company, compliance with marketing and consumer law, consumer information in Swedish or English, all prices in local currency including VAT, no import costs for the consumer, and company, delivery, returns, warranty and privacy information on the site.

The field-level specification (column names, required versus optional fields, limits) is not published on Prisjakt's public help pages, so we do not reproduce a list here. Textfinity's Prisjakt template pre-fills the columns; check them against the format you select in Business Centre before the first import.

Examples

Worked examples, by situation

Five shops and the specific change each needed for Prisjakt or PriceRunner. Rules are Textfinity mappings on the channel template.

Electronics · PriceRunner Sweden · 3,000 SKUs

Names that match PriceRunner's product pages

Before

Name: iPhone 12

After

Name: Apple iPhone 12, 256GB, grey

How we set it up

We map Name as an advanced rule: [brand] + " " + [model] + ", " + [storage] + ", " + [color]. PriceRunner matches products on name and EAN, so map the EAN column too; with EAN present, matching is automatic.

Fashion · PriceRunner · gendered categories

Breadcrumb categories with the right separator

Before

category: Dam|Klänningar|Maxiklänningar

After

category: Dam > Klänningar > Maxiklänningar

How we set it up

We map category with replace from regexp, finding \| and replacing it with " > " (space, greater-than, space). PriceRunner asks for exactly that separator, and its filters read the Women, Men and Children level, so keep Dam or Herr in the path.

Home and garden · CSV export · stock counts

Stock status in an accepted value

Before

lager: 0
lager: 7
lager: (empty)

After

Stock status: out of stock
Stock status: in stock
Stock status: out of stock

Advanced transform on Stock status

if [lager] is empty then "out of stock"
else if calc{[lager]} > 0 then "in stock"
else "out of stock"

How we set it up

We map Stock status as an advanced rule that turns the stock column into an accepted text value. A numeric count is also accepted, but a mapped text value avoids sending blanks, which PriceRunner does not list as valid.

Furniture · PriceRunner · long store copy

Description cut to one sentence

Before

description: Red four-legged table with storage underneath. Ideal for living room or bedroom. Dimensions 100 x 50 cm. Our designers spent two years...

After

description: Red four-legged table with storage underneath.

How we set it up

We map description with replace from regexp ^([^.]*\.).*$ to \1, which keeps the first sentence, well under PriceRunner's 30-word maximum. AI-written descriptions run 500 to 1,000 characters, which is too long here, so this feed keeps the store text.

Outdoor gear · Prisjakt Norway · Shopify Markets

NOK prices including VAT for prisjakt.no

Before

Price (store default): 59.00 EUR

After

Price: 699.00 NOK (Norwegian market price, VAT included)

How we set it up

A second feed with its market set to Norway reads the Shopify market's NOK price into the variant price column; the price rule adds " NOK", and the link gets the Norwegian path with a replace from regexp, since the market sets prices, not URLs. Prisjakt's listing rules require local currency including VAT, so a converted EUR price is not enough. Exclude products not sold in Norway with a filter rule (product.isPublishedInMarket is equal to False).

Plan: Prisjakt and PriceRunner feeds from one catalog

Connect once, then two feeds with their own templates, which we set up in Textfinity.

  1. 01

    Connect the store

Shopify connects natively with markets and locales; other platforms connect through a CSV or Google-shaped XML export URL.

What we set up: We connect your Shopify store with its markets and locales, or read the export URL you send us.
  2. 02

    Create the PriceRunner feed

The template pre-fills SKU, Name, Price, Shipping costs, Stock status, Delivery time, Manufacturer, EAN, MPN, URL, Image URL, Category, Description and Condition.

What we set up: We create the feed from the PriceRunner channel template.
  3. 03

    Create the Prisjakt feed

Start from the Prisjakt template and compare its columns with the format you will choose in Business Centre.

What we set up: We create the feed from the Prisjakt channel template and check its columns against your Business Centre format.
  4. 04

    Map the comparison-specific values

Name with variant details, stock status in accepted values, delivery time in days, breadcrumb category, a short description, local currency with VAT.

What we set up: We write Name, Stock status and category as advanced or replace from regexp rules.
  5. 05

Filter out what cannot be bought

Products without a buy or order button, drafts and items not sold in the target country.

What we set up: We add exclude filters with is equal to and is empty on the source status and stock columns.
  6. 06

    Submit the feed URLs

Add the Prisjakt feed in Business Centre → Data management → Add feed; send the PriceRunner feed URL to PriceRunner and whitelist its fetch IPs if your host restricts access. These steps happen outside Textfinity; we send you both URLs and can do them with you on a call.

Customization tips

Make it yours

EAN does most of the matching

Both engines group offers from many shops on one product page. PriceRunner says including EAN lets it match products automatically; a missing EAN means slower or manual matching. Fill EAN from the barcode column or a merged sheet before tuning anything else.

Keep the feed URL fixed

PriceRunner warns that a changing URL, for example one with a timestamp, makes products disappear. Textfinity publishes each feed on a stable URL that does not change when the file is rebuilt.

One feed per country and currency

Prisjakt and PriceRunner both run separate country sites with local prices. A Swedish and a Norwegian feed from the same shop, each with its own market, is cleaner than one feed with converted prices.

Shipping cost must be complete

PriceRunner wants all order costs in the shipping field, including handling and packaging fees. If shipping depends on the cart, map the cost for a single item, and keep it consistent with the checkout.

FAQ

Questions about prisjakt product feed

How do I add my product feed to Prisjakt?

Log in to Prisjakt's Business Centre, open Data management in the left menu, select Add feed and choose the feed format, then make sure the feed is updated regularly. Your shop must also meet Prisjakt's listing requirements, including prices in local currency with VAT.

What format does PriceRunner accept for product feeds?

Most text formats, commonly CSV, XML and JSON, delivered on an HTTPS URL or FTP server. Excel files are not accepted. CSV feeds can use tab, pipe, semicolon or comma as separators, and gzip or zip compression is recommended.

Which fields are required in a PriceRunner feed?

PriceRunner's minimum is SKU or id, name, price, shipping costs, stock status, delivery time, manufacturer, EAN or GTIN, manufacturer SKU or MPN, URL, image URL, category, description and condition.

Can one tool build both the Prisjakt and the PriceRunner feed?

Yes. Textfinity has channel templates for both. Each feed is its own CSV or TSV on a stable URL, built from the same store data with the mapping and filters each engine needs.
