Productsup alternative
Productsup sells quote-based product-to-consumer syndication to brands with thousands of channels and dedicated feed teams. Most stores searching for an alternative have one catalog, a handful of channels and no budget line for managed services. This page puts the two side by side using only what Productsup publishes, and shows what Textfinity does instead.
We connect your store, build the feed and keep it in sync. Updated 2026-10-27.
At a glance
- Productsup does not publish prices, SKU limits or a free trial; cost depends on SKUs, feeds, modules, sync frequency, seats and countries.
- Textfinity is quoted per catalog after a short call, and we set the feeds up in it for you, including reviewed AI titles and descriptions.
- Productsup claims 2,500+ channels; Textfinity ships 11 channel templates plus a custom feed with any column set.
- Both run rule-based transforms and AI copy; only Productsup offers a managed service and image creatives, only Textfinity publishes EU hosting.
Productsup vs Textfinity: what each one publishes
Every Productsup cell below comes from productsup.com on the date in the footnote. Where the site does not state a figure, the cell says so rather than guessing from review sites. Textfinity cells come from its own product documentation.
Who should stay on Productsup
Productsup is built for organizations whose problem is breadth: a brand pushing product content to retailers, marketplaces and ad networks in 170+ markets, with people whose job is the feed. Its site describes 2,500+ export channels, AI Data Services for copy and translation, an Image Designer that stamps prices and promotions onto creatives, Smart Mapping for category taxonomies and 24/7 account support with managed-service options. It lists ISO 27001 certification and partnerships with Salesforce, Google, Meta and TikTok.
If you need supplier onboarding, retailer syndication, creative generation or someone else to run the feeds, those are not things a feed-only tool replaces. Textfinity does not manage campaigns, edit images, read Merchant Center disapprovals or handle marketplace orders. Stay on an enterprise platform if any of those is the reason you bought it.
When a Productsup alternative makes sense
The usual trigger is scale mismatch. A store with 800 SKUs, Google Shopping, Meta and one price comparison site does not need a seat-based, quote-priced platform whose cost rises with sync frequency and country count. It needs a connected Shopify store or an export URL, a Google Shopping template, a few mapping rules and a schedule.
Textfinity covers that path, and we set it up for you: the store connection, the channel templates, mapping, filtering, scheduled publishing and, where they help, AI titles, descriptions and translation. After that the software rebuilds each feed on schedule. It is quoted per catalog after a short call, sized to the catalog and channels rather than to seats, modules and countries.
The second trigger is data location. Productsup does not state a hosting region on its pricing or feed-management pages. Textfinity processes feeds on Hetzner servers in Germany and runs AI on Vertex AI EU endpoints, operated by Datafinity AB in Sweden, which matters to merchants whose procurement asks where product and pricing data is processed.
Feature-by-feature: rules, AI and channels
Both tools are rule engines at heart. Productsup describes transformation rules and 268 optimization tools; Textfinity exposes a fixed set of transforms per output column: rename, combine, capitalize, static value, prefix and suffix, remove or replace from regexp, replace or extract from a Google Sheet, replace from an AI config, and an advanced DSL with if/then/else and attribute references. Filters use 26 operators including regex, list membership, numeric ranges, length checks and Google Sheet lists.
On AI, Productsup markets AI Data Services for personalized copy and translation. Textfinity's AI configs enhance a title or description per product from chosen attributes, with fixed lengths (titles 100–150 characters, descriptions 500–1,000) and an optional target language, regenerate when products change, and drop into a feed through the replace-from-AI-config transform once a generation is accepted, with a fallback field until then.
On channels, Productsup's 2,500+ figure includes retail media and marketplaces. Textfinity's templates cover Google Shopping (and free listings), Microsoft Ads, Meta Ads, TikTok Ads, Pinterest Ads, Snapchat Ads, Amazon Ads, eBay, Kelkoo, Prisjakt and PriceRunner, plus a custom feed with the channel's columns for anything that reads a CSV or TSV URL, such as Idealo, Awin or Criteo. Every channel, Merchant Center and Commerce Manager included, fetches a feed URL on a schedule; we register it with you.
Migrating a feed off Productsup
Migration is mostly re-expressing rules. Export the list of transformations you rely on, group them by output column, and rebuild each as a mapping transform. Title concatenations become combine or a DSL expression; find-and-replace becomes replace from regexp; category lookups become a Google Sheet lookup; exclusions become filter rules. Run both feeds in parallel for a sync cycle, diff the two files in a spreadsheet, then switch the Merchant Center data source.
Typical rule translations
Productsup-style concat -> combine: brand, title, color (delimiter " ")
strip HTML from desc -> remove from regexp: <[^>]+>
category lookup table -> replace from google sheet: product_type -> google_product_category (if [product_type] is in google sheet list)
hide stock = 0 -> filter: exclude if [stock] is equal to 0Sources checked

Worked examples, by situation

Rebuild a composed title without a rule library
Before
Trailrunner GTX
After
Salomon Trailrunner GTX Wanderschuh Herren, Schwarz, EU 44
How we set it up
We map title with an advanced DSL expression: [brand] + " " + [product_title] + " " + [category_label] + ", " + [color] + ", EU " + [size]. The same expression goes into a custom feed with idealo's columns, so one rule serves both channels.
Replace a managed-service exclusion list with filter rules
Before
Feed includes 48 discontinued shades, 12 gift cards and 30 samples priced at 0.00
After
Feed carries 510 sellable products; samples, gift cards and discontinued lines are gone
How we set it up
We add three exclude filters: "product_type is in list (gift card, sample)", "price is less than 1" and "tags includes discontinued" (the CSV export carries tags). Each one is a plain rule you can read, not an item on a feed manager's list.
Keep AI descriptions without an enterprise AI module
Before
Description: "USB-C hub 7in1"
After
Description (opening of a 500–1,000-character text): "Seven-port USB-C hub with 4K HDMI, 100 W pass-through charging, two USB-A 3.0 ports and SD/microSD readers. Works with MacBook and Windows laptops."
How we set it up
An AI config enhances the description in English from title, specs and brand. Once the generations are reviewed and accepted, we map description as a replace from AI config with fallback to the original description for products without an accepted generation.

Move one feed in an afternoon
Keep Productsup running until the new feed has produced the same products for one full cycle.
01
Connect the catalog source
Connect Shopify directly, or paste the URL of the CSV export or Google Shopping XML feed your platform already produces. Add a Google Sheet as a merged source if the export lacks columns like GTIN or category.
What we set up: We set up your Shopify store, CSV or XML URL, or Google Sheet as the source, plus any merged source.02
Create the first channel feed
Start with the channel that spends the most. The template pre-fills Google's or Meta's column names so you only decide what each one maps from.
What we set up: We build the first feed from the Google Shopping or Meta template, or a custom feed for idealo.03
Translate your rules column by column
Work down the mapping list. Concatenations become combine or DSL, lookups become Google Sheet replacements, cleanups become replace from regexp.
What we set up: We choose the transform for each column, rule by rule.04
Rebuild exclusions as filters
Every product the old platform hid becomes an include or exclude rule. Check the product count against the old feed.
What we set up: We rebuild each exclusion as a filter rule and match the product count.05
Run feed hygiene on the output
The profile flags empty columns, titles over 150 characters, mixed languages and malformed URLs before Merchant Center does.
What we set up: We run feed hygiene on the output and fix what it flags.06
Switch the data source
In Merchant Center, add the feed URL as a new file data source with a scheduled fetch. Remove the old source once the new one is processed. This step happens in Merchant Center, not in Textfinity.
What we set up: We register the URL with you: you give us access to Merchant Center, or we walk you through it.
Customization tips
Make it yours
Decide the AI question up front
If your Productsup contract included AI copy, say so when you ask for a quote, so the setup includes AI configs. Without them the feed is mapping, filtering and publishing only.
Move lookups into a Google Sheet, not into rules
Category and brand mappings that lived in enterprise rule libraries are easier to maintain as a two-column sheet. The trade-off is that the sheet becomes a dependency someone has to own.
Keep the feed count small
Fewer feeds means fewer rules to keep in step. One Google Shopping feed usually serves free listings and Microsoft Shopping too, so you rarely need one feed per surface.
Accept what a small tool does not do
No Merchant Center diagnostics import, no image editing, no marketplace orders. If a disapproval shows up, the fix goes into the source data or a Textfinity rule, and the next sync carries it.

FAQ
Questions about productsup alternative
How much does Productsup cost?
Productsup does not publish prices. Its pricing page says the subscription depends on the number of SKUs, feeds, platform modules, data sync frequency, seats, countries and special requests, and asks you to request a customized quote.
Does Productsup have a free trial?
Its pricing and feed-management pages offer a free demo and a pricing quote but do not mention a free trial. Textfinity has no trial either: it is quoted per catalog after a short call, and we set up the feed for you.
Which Productsup alternative has AI product titles for a small catalog?
Textfinity's AI configs enhance titles and descriptions and can translate them, with every generation reviewed before a feed uses it. It is quoted per catalog, and we set up the AI configs along with the feed.
Can a small feed tool replace Productsup for marketplaces?
Only for the listing feed. Textfinity publishes Amazon and eBay feed files but does not manage marketplace orders, inventory sync back to the store or supplier onboarding. If those were part of your Productsup setup, you need another tool for them.
Is Textfinity hosted in the EU?
Yes. Feeds are processed on Hetzner infrastructure in Germany and AI runs on Vertex AI EU endpoints. The company, Datafinity AB, is based in Sweden.
