Comparison
Simprosys vs DataFeedWatch
These two get compared because they sit at opposite ends of the Shopify feed market: Simprosys Google Shopping Feed is a Shopify app from 4.99 USD a month with per-use add-ons, DataFeedWatch is a platform-agnostic feed tool starting at $64 a month. Both figures below come from their own listings today, with Textfinity as a third column for stores that want the feed set up for them, EU hosting and reviewed AI copy.
We connect your store, build the feed and keep it in sync. Updated 2026-10-27.
At a glance
- Simprosys: 4.99 USD/month up to 500 products, $17.99 up to 10,000, 21-day trial, Shopify only, 4.9 stars from 4,943 reviews.
- DataFeedWatch: $64/month for 1k SKUs, 3 feeds and 1 shop; $84 for 5k SKUs and 10 feeds; 15-day trial; works with any platform.
- Simprosys charges AI feed optimization at $1 per 25 products; DataFeedWatch's listed plans do not mention AI; in Textfinity we set up AI configs with the feed, and every generation is reviewed.
- Textfinity: quoted per catalog and set up for you; sources from Shopify, CSV, Google Shopping XML or Google Sheets, hosted in the EU.
Simprosys vs DataFeedWatch side by side
The table reads from the Shopify App Store listing for Simprosys Google Shopping Feed and from datafeedwatch.com/pricing, both fetched on the date in the footnote. Textfinity cells are from its own product documentation. Where a listing does not state a fact, the cell says 'not published'.
Pricing: flat app fee with usage charges vs platform tiers
Simprosys prices by product count: 4.99 USD a month up to 500 products, $8.99 to 1,000, $13.99 to 5,000, $17.99 to 10,000, with a 10% discount on yearly billing. On top of the plan, the listing shows usage fees: AI feed optimization at $1.00 per 25 products (one-time), XML feeds at $1.75 to $6.30 per million, and Markets feeds beyond three free ones at $0.50 to $1.80 per feed per million. Pricing above 10,000 products is not published.
DataFeedWatch prices by plan: Shop at $64 a month (1k SKUs, 3 feeds, 1 shop, mapping for 1 feed, one sync a day, email support within 24 hours), Merchant at $84 (5k SKUs, 10 feeds, 2 shops, two syncs a day, email and chat), Agency at $239 (30k SKUs, 150 feeds, shops uncapped, five syncs a day, dedicated success agent, master rules), and Enterprise at a custom price for 100k SKUs. Extra SKUs cost $5 to $2 per 1,000 depending on plan; 50 extra feeds cost $50; yearly billing shows a 17% discount.
Textfinity is priced differently from both: it does not publish a price list, but quotes per catalog after a short call, and we set the feeds up in it for you. After setup the software rebuilds each feed on schedule.
Platform fit: Shopify app vs any export
Simprosys is a Shopify app and only a Shopify app. That is its strength: it runs the Shopify Markets logic for multi-currency, multi-language and multi-country feeds, maps metafields, sets up Performance Max and Microsoft audience campaigns from inside the admin, and adds conversion tracking, GA4 and consent mode through Shopify's Web Pixels API. If your store is on Shopify and you want the ads plumbing in the same place as the feed, it is hard to beat at under $5 a month.
DataFeedWatch is platform-agnostic and sells on breadth of channels and managed setup (setup sessions on Merchant and Agency, feed error clean-up and 24/7 monitoring on Agency). Textfinity is platform-agnostic too: Shopify natively (products, variants, metafields, markets, locales) and a CSV, TSV or Google Shopping XML export URL for WooCommerce, Magento, PrestaShop and BigCommerce, plus Google Sheets and a merged source for columns the export lacks. Neither DataFeedWatch nor Textfinity sets up ad campaigns; Textfinity has no campaign, tracking or reporting features at all.
Rules, AI and feed hygiene
Simprosys lists automated feed rules, bulk editing, metafield mapping and AI-powered feed optimization (billed per product). DataFeedWatch's pricing page lists mapping per feed by plan (1, 2 or 3 feeds with mapping) and master rules on Agency, but the page does not describe rule operators or AI. Textfinity's rule set is explicit: 13 per-column transforms including remove and replace from regexp, Google Sheet lookups and an advanced DSL with if/then/else; 26 filter operators including regex, list and sheet membership, numeric ranges and length checks.
AI is where the models diverge. Simprosys bills AI optimization at $1 per 25 products, so a 5,000-product catalog is $200 to run once. Textfinity's AI configs, which we set up with the feed, enhance titles (100–150 characters) or descriptions (500–1,000 characters) per product, optionally translated, regenerate when products change, and fall back to a source field for products without an accepted generation. Textfinity also profiles every feed for completeness, over-long values, mixed languages, inconsistent spellings and bad URLs, which neither listing mentions.
Which one to pick
- Shopify store, under 10,000 products, wants Performance Max and tracking set up from the same app: Simprosys.
- Non-Shopify store or agency with many feeds, budget for $64 to $239 a month and a wish for setup sessions and monitoring: DataFeedWatch.
- Any platform, wants regex and DSL rules, reviewed AI titles and descriptions, Google Sheets lookups and EU hosting, set up for it and quoted per catalog: Textfinity.
- Needs Merchant Center disapproval diagnostics inside the tool: not Textfinity; it cannot read disapprovals from Merchant Center.
Examples
Worked examples, by situation
Three stores at the price points where the choice actually changes, with the Textfinity rule each one would use.
Composed variant titles at the entry tier
Before
Title: "Linen Shirt" (Shopify product title, no variant data)
After
Title: "Everlane Relaxed Linen Shirt Women's, Sage, M"
How we set it up
We map title as a combine of vendor, product.title, gender_label, option1 (color) and option2 (size), with delimiter ", " after the first two. Simprosys does this with its own feed rules at its entry tier.
Outside Shopify, the choice is DataFeedWatch or Textfinity
Before
google_product_category empty on 3,200 rows
After
google_product_category filled from a two-column sheet: 'Sofas' -> 'Furniture > Sofas', 'Eettafels' -> 'Furniture > Tables > Kitchen & Dining Room Tables'
How we set it up
We set up the WooCommerce export URL as the source and map google_product_category as a replace from google sheet (product_type to category path), conditioned on is in google sheet list. On DataFeedWatch this catalog needs Merchant ($84, 5k SKUs); Textfinity quotes per catalog.
AI descriptions for two languages
Before
Description: "Vitamin C serum 30ml"
After
Description (de, opening of a 500–1,000-character text): "Vitamin-C-Serum 30 ml mit 15 % stabilisiertem Ascorbat für einen gleichmäßigen Teint, vegan und ohne Duftstoffe."
How we set it up
An AI config enhances the description and translates it into German from title, ingredients and benefits; once the generations are reviewed and accepted, we map description as a replace from AI config with fallback. On Simprosys the equivalent run is billed at $1 per 25 products; on Textfinity the AI config is part of the setup, quoted with the catalog.
Copy this plan
Trial both candidates against the same catalog
Simprosys gives 21 days and DataFeedWatch 15. Run the same 100 products through each, and ask Textfinity for a quote on the same catalog.
01
Export or connect a 100-product sample
Pick products with variants, one with a missing GTIN and one with an HTML-heavy description. They expose the rule engine quickly.
What we set up: We connect your Shopify store or CSV URL to Textfinity.02
Build the Google Shopping feed
Start from the channel template so the column names are Google's. Map id, title, description, link, image_link, price, availability, brand, gtin and condition.
What we set up: We build the feed from Textfinity's Google Shopping template.03
Write the three rules you always need
A composed title, an HTML strip on description, and an out-of-stock exclusion. Note how many clicks each tool needs.
What we set up: We map title as a combine and description with remove from regexp <[^>]+>, and add an exclude filter "variant.inventoryQuantity is less or equal to 0" (or the export's own stock column).04
Run a hygiene profile
Check field completeness and title lengths before Merchant Center sees the file.
What we set up: We run feed hygiene on the output and fix what it flags.05
Register the feed in Merchant Center
Add the feed URL as a file data source with a scheduled fetch. This happens in Merchant Center.
What we set up: We register the URL with you: you give us access to Merchant Center, or we walk you through it.06
Compare the bill at your real SKU count
Multiply usage fees by catalog size for Simprosys, pick the SKU tier for DataFeedWatch, and get a Textfinity quote for the same count.
Customization tips
Make it yours
Count feeds, not channels
One Google Shopping feed usually serves free listings and Microsoft Shopping. On DataFeedWatch's tiered plans (3 or 10 feeds) that saves a slot.
Price the AI run before you need it
Per-product AI fees are cheap to try and expensive to repeat; plan-based AI is the reverse. Decide whether you will regenerate copy after catalog changes.
Keep the Shopify app if you want campaign setup
Textfinity and DataFeedWatch produce feeds; Simprosys also configures Performance Max and tracking. Those are different jobs, and some stores run both.
Check the variant id you send
Shopify variant ids and SKUs both work as Google ids, but switching tools mid-flight changes the id and resets product history. Map the same id the old tool sent.
